Landry's first snow!

On Christmas day we experience snow in Texas! In case you don't know I love snow. Seriously, I used to pray all winter long that we would have snow! There is something magical about snow! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE snow. And to have it on Christmas just made it 10 times better.

I had heard there was a chance of snow, but I didn't let myself get excited about it because I didn't want to be disappointed. So when it started snowing I was afraid it would stop. Landry had just woken up from a nap so we bundled him up and took him outside to see it.

See how excited mommy is about it...

I think he was a little confused about what was going on. So we went back inside to warm up. The snow, however, kept coming!! After opening up all of our gifts and had eaten dinner we headed back outside. This time there was enough on the ground for Landry to sit in it.

I don't think he understands just how cool it is that he got snow on his first Christmas, but someday he will!

(PS- sorry about the blue photos, I had a filter on the camera and didn't know they were like that until I was downloading them. Any suggestions on how to fix it?)

Snow Days!

I love SNOW!! Basically the last week has been a dream come true for me... minus the having to take time off from work. Here are some pictures from the last week.

The ice scraper was in my car, which was covered in snow, so we used a spatula to scrape off the snow.

Joel had to work every day last week, but today he and I are both off. Hoping that this day off will help me get over my cold.

First Snow of 2011

When I walked out of church and saw snow on the ground, I was like a kid in a candy store. I love the snow!! We didn't get as much at our apartment as there was at the church, so it wasn't enough to play. But it is still beautiful to look at. It is so white a pure. Each time I see it I am reminded that God has washed me white as snow.

Leo takes after his mommy, he loves snow too!

Cars, Cars, Cars

As most of you know on March 20, 2010 I got into a car wreck... So my car looked like...

Needless to say, my car was completely undriveable. So Joel and I went car shopping. the plan was to get a car with a low apyment that was only a few years old. However, my sweet sweet husband was willing to part with his dream car in order for me to have a better car. So we both ended up with new cars. Look at what we got!

His and Hers 2009 Nissan Sentras. (Mine is the black one)

Inside mine

From the back

This car is the FIRST car I have owned, and its all mine! It's also the FIRST time I have had a nicer car than my husband! (Mine has bluetooth, intelekey, a spoiler, and a few other little perks)  It's also the FIRST time I got to drive a car off the lot!

Thank you Joel for loving me more than your car!! I know how hard it was for you to give up your Infiniti, and I promise someday you can have your dream car back! I love you!

The Beauty of Snow

This post is nothing but pictures of snow, and how pretty and pure it makes everything.

Snowman building 101

First you roll a ball of snow.

You cover it with pretty white snow, so you can't see the grass. Then you roll a second ball of snow to be the middle of the snowman.

But don't build so big that you can't lift it like we did. Cause then you just have to build the ball on top the snowman.

And you leave the puppy inside to watch so he doesn't get in the way, or pee on the snowman.

Then you build the ball that is to be the head of the snowman. Then you find someone really really tall and strong to help you put the ball on the top. We used my Uncle Tommy who is 6'5".

Then you get out the ladder and perfect the snowman.

Then you go around the house and find things to be the mouth, eyes, arms, ect. Put them on your snowman and you are finished.

Record Snow fall

With the most snow in 111 years (12.5 inches) you better believe Joel and I had fun playing in the snow. Here are some pictures of the two of us.

We also had lots of fun with my family.

'Charlies Angels' snow style.
We also attempted to go tubing... it was really hard 1. because we couldn't find a steep hill and 2. because our tube broke.

Over the two days that we had snow, we had tons of fun!! We all acted like we were 8 again! Thank you God for allowing it to snow so much!
