February Update

Our February has been sort of crazy. Blogging was put on the back burner for awhile, but I am back at it now. So here's what we've been up to.

Nonna came to visit.

We went and took dinner to our dear friends the McAlisters. Landry was so gentle holding baby Samuel.

We went to Kansas which was fun because Landry got to see his PawPaw and lots of cousins, but it wasn't fun because Joel had to say goodbye to his Grandpa.

The following weekend we had to go back for the funeral. However, we had lots of fun hanging out with Aunt and Uncles that we don't get to see very often. Lots of driving during these two trips, but Landry did so good!

Landry turned 7 months old.

Then we celebrated Valentines day. Mommy was sick, but luckily I had made the Valentines early.

My best friend from high school and her husband came over to visit. They live in Germany and are doing mission work. It was so special to see them again! It's like we were never apart (don't you love friends like that)!

Since then we have been hanging out and playing lots. Landry has even started army crawling all over these place!

And I recently started using my twitter account. Honestly, I only got it so I could live tweet the Bachelor, but I really like it. You can follow me at @carissajhoward and on Instagram @carissahoward07.

Psalm 116:15

Psalm 116:15 - "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints."

Well, last night heaven got another one of those saints. Joel grandpa Dr. Don Howard passed away.

When he found out that we were having a boy I will never forget how excited he was that his heritage was being passed on. We will do our best to raise Landry to be a Godly man like his daddy, his pawpaw and the man who started the family his grandpa.

We are sad because we no longer be able to spend time with him here on earth, but we know he is walking with his Lord right now. Please pray for the family during this difficult time.

*This is one of those times when I wish I was a writer and could express myself more clearly and eloquently.

Blogging Drought

Lately, I have been in a bit of a drought. I have tons of things to blog about, but we have just been so busy. And with Joel back to working on school stuff I don't get the computer very often.

I will get back to it soon, but for now here is a video of Landry's latest trick. He has learned he can roll across the room to get to things he wants. I have a feeling baby proofing is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. How can time go so fast?

This was him last night during the Super Bowl. Don't worry there were plenty of adults around to rescue him. Also note he rolled to in between his grandmas, coincidence, I think not!

Bubbly Breanne in Dallas

I read a blog called Kelly's Korner and today is Show Us Your Life -Singles, what better single gal to write about than my sister.

Let me introduce you to Breanne!

Breanne is an awesome performer and by performer I mean singer. She absolutely loves God with all of her heart and you can tell every time she sings she uses her talent for him.

She is a 24 year old graduate of THE Louisiana State University. She now lives in the Dallas area and is a middle choir director. She has a passion for others that cannot be rivaled. When a students opens up through music her heart is happy.

She is a total goofball that has never met a stranger.

She is so good at including everyone and making everyone feel loved.

After watching her with my son and the way she loves on him, I can't wait to see her become a mom someday. I know she will be FABULOUS!

Breanne is beautiful inside and out!
