I think I might be crazy... I started work this week, had my IUD inserted and had my wisdom teeth pulled. At least I am done for awhile!
The first day back at work was rough, not gonna lie I cried almost the entire way there. And anytime someone would come by to welcome me back and see how I was doing I would get teary eyed all over again. But it got a little easier each day... Don't get me wrong, I would rather be home with my little man than at work, but if I have to go back at least I have some of the best co-workers ever!
So I leave you with this...
Don't worry, it's gotten a lot better since this morning.
We have been needing living room furniture since we moved into our house a year ago. We started saving to buy it when we found out we were pregnant. So the living room got put on hold and we bought baby things instead.
Well, right before Landry arrive I had had enough! I just couldn't stand our uncomfortable hand me downs any more. So we broke down and bought new furniture.
We wanted to make sure that it would be something that would last for a LONGGGGGG time. I also wanted something that was comfortable and I could put my feet up on.
Now I need to make some curtains and throw pillows as well as find something to hang on our giant blank wall and our living room will be complete. Almost there!
I have been praying for Landry since before I found out I was pregnant. We want to raise Landry to know and love God. So today we dedicated to raise Landry in His ways in front of our church congregation.
We are so blessed to attend such a wonderful church that cares so much for Landry, and all the other babies our class is having.
Pastor Gary explaining what is going to happen.
The childrens minister Pam. So glad to have her coordinating the nurseries. Glad she is apart of Landry's life.
Our pastor explaining what it means to raise Landry for the Lord.
Gary is not used to dedicating babies that can't hold their heads up yet.
And of course, mommy had to peek during the prayer.
Thank you to all of our friends and family for your love and support as we continue on this journey in parenthood.
Today we had a sweet friend, Mrs. Searle (or Grandma Searle to Landry), host a sip-n-see for all of our friends that attend the church we grew up in. The shower was tailgate themed, after all we LOVE football.
So we were lying in bed playing and Landry kept pushing off with his leg and getting about 25% of the way over. So I thought "Hey, if he is going to roll over I am going to get this on video." Every time I would tell him to do so, Leo would do it. I thought it was cute so I thought I would share. Please excuse my really loud baby voice. (I forget I am really close to the microphone.)
Sorry I have been MIA lately. The truth is I am COMPLETELY and TOTALLY dreading going back to work. These 7 weeks (yes, I only got 7) have gone by entirely too fast. I haven't gotten nearly enough time with my little man. So I have been spending my time with him and the blog has been totally neglected. I haven't even done Landry's one month post (I took the pictures though).
So, I'll leave you with this adorable face and hope I will get back in the swing of things soon.
