3 weeks old

I can't believe Landry is already 3 weeks old! Here are some of the things you have done in your first 3 weeks of life.

You tried out your swing and love it!

You went to the doctor (twice).

You went for a walk with mommy and daddy. We will go on more walks when it cools down a little.

You had your first bath. You are not a fan.

You were serenaded with a song by Aunt B and Uncle Benji.

You played on your mat. The more we play on it, the more you like it.

You went out to eat for the first time. You did great!

You 'played' with Leo.

You have been a very busy boy!

Landry's Visitors

Landry has had lots of people come over to meet him the last 3 weeks. I have tried to take a picture of each person that has come over, most of the time I remember.

Grandma and Grandpa Searle

Uncle Glenn

Naomi

Daniel and Jana

Eric and Patricia (and baby McAlister)

Landry, you are one very loved little boy!

Team USA

I love the Olympics! I am so excited for the opening ceremony tonight! I am even more excited that I will be home on maternity leave to watch the Olympics with Landry. I have a feeling we will spend a lot of time on the couch watching sports the next two weeks!

New Born Photos

If you are friends with me on facebook, then you know that I entered to win a discounted new born session with Brooke Richardson Photography. Well I won! We are so pleased with how the pictures turned out! Brooke was so patient with Landry, who did not want to sleep for the photo shoot. We would highly recommend her for anyone who is needing photos. Below are some of my favorites!

Purpose

We have been so incredibly blessed by our wonderful ABF. Our class is called Purpose because we have two purposes in life.

Purpose #1- Have a relationship with God.

Purpose #2- Relate to others in such a way to help them accomplish Purpose #1.

We started off in the Honeymooners class with this group and have enjoyed growing with them.

Anyway, our ABF has taken such good care of us these first few weeks home by bringing us meals. I haven't had to cook in weeks! And everything they have brought has been delicious.

Purpose Playdate

Our ABF is having a major baby boom. We have 7 babies and 2 more (that we know of) on the way. And the crazy thing is they are all boys except our one little princess Myla. Katy was so sweet to host us all for lunch and let our little ones 'play'. Hopefully, this is just the first of many playdates to come!

The whole gang. ha! Some one should have recorded all of us mom's trying to get this shot. I am sure you can imagine how funny it was.

After all the playing Landry and Know were pretty tuckered out.

Thank you Katy for taking pictures so I could have this documented. I was a little per-occupied and never got my camera out of the bag.

2 weeks

Today Landry turned 2 weeks old! Man how time is flying already!

Weight: 8lbs 1oz (back at birth weight! 25-50%)

Length: 21.5 inches (75%)

Head: 14 inches (25%)

This outfit is the one Joel was photographed in when he was 2 weeks old. So for fun I thought we could compare.

Generations Howard

Today Joel's grandpa was finally able to make it over to meet Landry. Landry is the 4th great-grandchild, but he is the first to carry on the Howard name. So Grandpa was really excited.

Don't worry Grandma Jo came and got to hold Landry too!

We are so blessed to have such a rich family history of God loving and God fearing parents and grandparents. We hope to pass that on to Landry.

Generations

Last week we took Landry to meet his Great-Great-Grandma (aka Granny). It's hard to believe Landry is the 5th generation in our family.

My Granny was so excited to meet him.

She kept saying "I know boys are supposed to be handsome, but he's beautiful."

My Granny is such a prayer warrior she prayed over him while we were there. I am so glad she is still alive to see this. The hand of a 93 year old and a 5 day old. Such a sweet memory and picture I will have forever.

Landry James Howard

I prayed for 3 things. No induction, no c-section, and most importantly a healthy baby.

God is faithful and answered all 3 of my request!
