what i miss: Getting into bed without groaning.
what i'm looking forward to: I also have the rest of my showers this week. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family who love us and I know are going to love Landry!
how are you feeling? Tired. Each day I get a little more excited to meet Landry, hard to believe it's only 6 weeks away (give or take a week).
pregnancy moments: This one is kind of about me, but more about Joel. We were laying in bed last night just talking and he rolled over towards me and put his hand on my belly and ask "Is my baby moving?". Usually Joel says is 'he' or is 'Landry' moving, but last night it was 'my baby'. Totally melted my heart. He is going to be such a good daddy!

Happy 4th Birthday!

Today is Leo's 4th birthday! I can't believe it's been that long.

(Ignore the date, we got him on August 1 when he was 8 weeks old)

When we brought him home he weighed 2lbs and was the smallest fur ball you had ever seen.

Now he has so much personality.

He loves to cuddle.

He loves to ride in the car.

He loves to play with his toys.

I think he and Landry are going to be good friends.

It's amazing how a family pet is really a member of the family!

Landry's First Rangers Game

In honor of Memorial Day, my dad (who was in the Air Force) was given 4 tickets to the Ranger game for Friday night. Sadly, he was unable to attend. So he gave them to Joel and I to enjoy. Joel wasn't able to go because of this. So I invited my Grandma, Uncle Mark and Great Aunt Mary to go with me. We had lots of fun, they are all huge Ranger fans. And it was a great game to attend because we won 14-3!!

Landry's first game!

Parents-to-BEE

This past Friday my wonderful coworkers through Joel, Landry, and I a wonderful shower! I am so blessed to work with such a generous group of people. Krysten and Justine did such a great job of planning, decorating, and coordinating the entire thing. Thank you ladies so much!

Now here are some pictures...

I was so excited when we opened our car seat and stroller that I started crying!

Thank you ladies so much for planning!

And thank you to all of my coworkers for the wonderful gifts! We are so incredibly grateful!

Poor Joel

On Tuesday we went to Plano Nature Preserve to take our maternity pictures. Some how Joel (and our photographer) managed to get chiggers. We stay on the path and out of the tall grass, but they got them anyway. Thankfully I don't have them, but I feel so bad for Joel. This is the worst case of chiggers I have ever seen. And they seem to be getting worse because he HAS to wear clothes to work, yet, his clothes just rub against them... I guess he will be staying home all weekend.

Rough Rider Game

This past Friday we headed out to Frisco to catch a minor league baseball game with some couples from our ABF. Our seats allowed us to have access to the "grab-n-go" food. So we could get all the hot dogs, sausage, nachos and sodas we wanted.

*Please excuse the iPhone picture, I brought my camera, but forgot the memory card.

We were down 5-0 in the 8th inning so Joel put on his rally cap. We proceed to score one run and another in the 9th, but we still lost.

However, all was not lost because there was a fireworks show after the game!

It was a fun Friday night, but this momma to be was tired when we got home!

Happy Mother's Day

To all the moms out there... Happy Mother's Day!

I have been blessed to have so many wonderful women in my life that have shown me what it means to be a mom. Women that have treated as if I were one of their own and always cared for me.

But I have been especially blessed to have my mom, Mary Strawn, who has always been there for me no matter what! I love you!

And a mother in law who raised Joel to know and love the Lord so he can lead our family.

And I can't forget our Grandmothers who raised our wonderful parents!

New Mommies

So I am linking up with Kelly's Korner today.

I know we are supposed to be linking up with new moms, but I will be a mom for the first time in July. I thought it would be fun to connect with some other moms.

Like I said we are expecting our first baby boy in July, the 9th to be exact. I would love to hear from other expecting moms. And for those of you who have recently been through the new mom thing I would love to hear from you too!

8 more weeks!!

Another one bites the dust!

We paid off another student loan!!And we paid it off two months early I might add! Sometimes I feel like we are never going to get out of debt, but then we pay off a loan and the snowball keeps moving. For those of you out there trying to pay off debt, stick with it! You can do it!

In another note, I cannot tell you how faithful God is! It continues to amaze me. Every time I feel like our budget is being squeezed and I think we are never going to be able to do this, He ALWAYS comes through. I feel like our money is growing and multiplying. I want so badly to be able to explain (since I am a financial analyst and all), but I swear I can't. Our God is so good!

3 down, 10 to go

Here's the Scoop...

This Sunday I co-hosted a baby shower for my sweet friend Anna. She is due July 4th, just 5 days before me! It's been so fun to experience this with her and I was so honored to be able to host a shower for her.

The shower was ice cream themed and we all enjoys ice cream sundaes.

I even brought out my creative side (with the help of my mom) and made an ice cream themed centerpiece.

Even Pearson enjoys the shower.

Me, Anna, and Amy (the other host, thanks again for having it at your house!)

The girls: Katy and Pearson, Amy, Alicia, Julie, Michelle and Baby Hutchison, Anna and Westin, Denise, Jenny, Kristin and Myla (10 days old and the only baby girl in the class) and Me and Landry.

It was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Can't wait to meet baby Westin.
